You can eat them straight from the bag, make a ‘nut free’ milk add to smoothies and juices, use them in baking, add to your Paleo granola, add into salads, or our favourites – turn into ‘porridge’ or Paleo/AIP fruit crumbles.
The original tiger nuts are dried after harvesting and tend to be denser than the Premium or Peeled/Naked tiger nuts. They’re ideal for making tiger nut mylk (horchata). They can also be soaked overnight which intensifies the taste. Great sprinkled into salads or eaten straight from the pack as a snack.

We’ve been big fans of tiger nuts after discovering them in Wholefoods USA and were so excited to find a company in the UK dedicated to these tiny prebiotic tubers that taste great as milk, in porridge and even baked into cookies. So Ani and Chris at the Tiger Nut Company were one of the first suppliers we contacted. Ani (a UK Paleo Awards 2017 judge) grew up drinking horchata in Barcelona and once Chris tried it he was hooked. They set up The Tiger Nut Company, to share and spread what they call the #Tigernutlove.
