Paleo & Co customer house rules
Hello and welcome to Paleo & Co. Please read these ‘house rules’ or ‘terms and conditions’ as they are usually known. They sound very legal-ese, but they simply let you know that by buying from us you are entering a legally binding contract. They also set out how our website works, tell you what happens when you shop with us, and go over other boring (but important) stuff like intellectual property.

About the website
Paleoandco.co.uk is a website set up to connect Paleo shoppers with Paleo producers or simply join a Paleo community. It enables people who agree to our terms and conditions to shop from a number of niche Paleo suppliers and use our community area where people can read or upload recipes, find inspiration and read blog posts by Paleo & Co and our partners.
When you buy something from the Paleo & Co website the contract for sale is directly between the shopper and the supplier. The supplier for each product is displayed clearly on the website. Some items are directly shipped from Paleo & Co and where this is the case it will be clearly labelled as such.
We only have possession of products listed as supplied by Paleo & Co. All other items are offered for sale by the Supplier. We do not manufacture, store or inspect these products, we are just the venue for selling them. Where Paleo & Co is not the supplier we are not part of the contract of sale between Customers and Suppliers, nor any other contract concluded between Users of the Website. The Company accepts no liability for any issues which may arise during the conclusion of these contracts. (We do however have a returns policy, see below).
We do our best to make sure our services are the best they can possibly be, but we’re not perfect and sometimes things can go wrong. Where Paleo & Co are not the named supplier we do not provide any undertaking that goods and or services purchased through the site will be of satisfactory quality and this or any other warranties including the compliance of orders with applicable laws and regulations including their preparation and/or labelling; the conformity of delivered Products with the terms of the contract and the existence of possible hidden defects; or the risks linked to transporting, storing, conserving and delivering the Products.
We will do everything we can to make sure the information on this site is correct and up-to-date (we know how important it is to know about ingredients and we are super strict about which products we sell on this site.) However, we can’t give any undertaking, that Products and/or services you purchase from Producers through the Website will be of satisfactory quality, and this and any other such warranties (whether express or implied) are disclaimed by us absolutely to the fullest extent permitted by law. This disclaimer does not affect your statutory rights against a Producer.
That said, we want you to be happy with everything you buy from Paleo & Co, so if you feel you need to, you can request a return and refund. See our returns policy below.
Buying from Paleo & Co
The following section explains the process by which you buy products from producers on the Paleo & Co website.
How the contract is formed between you and a Supplier
Please note that when you purchase Products on the Website the resulting legal contract is between you and that Supplier named on the Website (sometimes this is Paleo & Co and where this is the case it is clearly stated). Our job at Paleo & Co is to help facilitate the transaction, however all transactions are entered into between you and the Supplier, and we shall not have any liability, obligation or responsibility in connection with any transaction between you and the Supplier.
Suppliers will do all that they can to ensure that your order is fulfilled. Products are, however, subject to availability, so there may occasions that a product is not available. If suppliers are unable to deliver an item you have ordered, you will not be charged for it. We will, however, bear no liability for unavailability of products.
You should carefully review the terms of this Agreement, the order confirmation email and the applicable details on the product page in relation to your order.
The Paleo & Co Website features a shop page where customers place orders directly with the supplier and provide payment via Paleo & Co. Therefore the contact is directly between the customer and the supplier (in some cases the Supplier may be Paleo & Co and where this is the case it is clearly shown on the website and checkout page).
How an order works
Before items are placed in the shop area of the Paleo & Co website, suppliers provide details including images, ingredients, sizes and postage costs of the products.
The images of the products listed on the website may be stock photographs used by suppliers for illustrative purposes only. Although suppliers will make every effort to be as accurate as possible, all sizes, weights, capacities, dimensions and measurements indicated on the website are for information purposes only.
Customers can browse the shop and order the products they want.
Payment is made via the Paleo & Co shop through Stripe Payments UK (see below).
Paleo & Co charge a % commission for the total cost of products (BUT NOT SHIPPING). This is deducted at the time the order is placed.
The order is passed on to the supplier who then fulfils the order by packing and shipping it directly to the customer.
If a customer orders from one of more supplier they will therefore receive multiple packages and pay a shipping cost for each supplier. (see Shipping).
Payment is made to the supplier from Paleo & Co 14 days after the order has been delivered (as long as goods are satisfactory and not returned.)
The prices of all products and postage costs on the website are set by the supplier and not Paleo & Co, and they are the exclusive responsibility of the supplier. They are given in sterling and include any tax. The sale price fixed by the supplier includes all commission owed to Paleo & Co.
The total price, including shipping is shown on the checkout page before customers check out and is due for payment once the order is placed.
Payment is made online through the payment service, Stripe Payments UK Ltd detailed below, or by any other means offered on the website.
Payment must be received before the sale is completed.
Payments on our website
All payments made on the Website are processed by a third party payment handler, Stripe Payments UK, Ltd. which has its principal place of business at 7th Floor, The Bower Warehouse, 211 Old Street, London EC1V 9NR, United Kingdom (“SPUKL”).
SPUKL is authorised as an electronic money institution by the U.K. Financial Conduct Authority (reference number: 900461) to issue electronic money, enable cash placement and cash withdrawal services on payment accounts, execute payment transactions, make money remittances, and acquire payment transactions.
Shipping and delivery
Once an order has been placed on Paleo & Co, the order will be passed on to the Supplier who is responsible for packing and delivering the order.
If a customer does not receive all items ordered they should inform Paleo & Co by going to the where’s my order page at Paleoandco.co.uk as soon as possible. We will do everything possible to rectify the situation to either ensure delivery or refund the Customer.
Returns and refunds
Paleo & Co complies with the distance selling regulations. As part of this, and in accordance with The Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, certain foods which are perishable or likely to deteriorate rapidly cannot be returned. Where this is the case it will state clearly in the item description. The majority of products on this website do not fall under that category. Our returns policy states that returns need to be requested and returned to us within 14 days after shipping. Simply go to our Returns page, fill out the form and we’ll be in touch. If we agree to the return/refund we will send you our returns address. Unfortunately you will have to pay for the return, and we recommend you use a signed for delivery service with proof of postage.
As the sellers’ payment agent we will process the refund directly onto your payment card, in no more than 14 days after the day we receive it back. If no goods were supplied, or you cancelled the order before it was shipped, we’ll process your refund 14 days after you tell us you didn’t receive it or 14 days after you cancel.
